The Achievement of Wisdom
Wisdom is gained through experience. Experience comes with making mistakes. Lots of them. As such it correlates with age. But it doesn't have to....you can learn from others who have been there and done that. I have got that T shirt.
If I can help just one or two young people on their way - to become outstanding leaders, then I will be very happy. This is the goal of my bloggs. Not just to entertain - which I hope they do - but to enlighten. So that the leadership of the future is better than the leadership of the past
My Story
I have 40 years of experience in leading people in the corporate world. I have enjoyed a career that would be the envy and ambition of many. I have worked globally, bought and sold companies, led teams of just a handful to many hundreds. Along the way I have failed, cried and been bitterly disappointed. I have also laughed, been successful and found enlightenment and satisfaction in building the most amazing, motivated and successful teams. I loved them and still love them to this day. Mostly I just laughed.
What follows are my views and mine alone. Where I have referenced stories and anecdotes these are all true to the very best of my knowledge and belief albeit I have changed peoples names and organisations. The association by the reader to any particular individual or organisation is therefore purely coincidental and is in no way endorsed by myself.
